Food for thought!

Hello all pet lovers!!*
How are you today? I have something great to share with you!

So last week a lovely girl called Amy who works at The Petshop got in contact with me about my pets. Now, unfortunately about a week ago one of my kitties, Bear, passed away due to an unexpected blot clot and we had to let him go. It was very sad for us all, and that's why I've not been to active - however I have another cat called Oreo, as seen in the photo above, and two rabbits called Panda & Bailey, both Netherland Dwarfs!

I love pets soooo much, and I always love buying them new foods and treats and giving them a variety of food, and testing them out on new things. The kind people at The Petshop helped me on that journey, with some lovely cat foods!

These are the lovely things i was gifted with, and let's say my cat loves ALL of them! My kitty, Oreo, is rather a pudgey cat... he was always eating this brother's food when Bear was 'done' with it, and just constantly snacking on the biscuits that were left in the bowl for them! Which isn't a bad thing I guess... I mean, cats gotta eat.

Which brings me onto the first item of the bunch!

http://www.petshop.co.uk/Brand/Canagan

Canagan Cat Food (375g RRP £5.20) is an amazing brand, and nothing that we as a pet family have tried before! But the packaging at first already had me hooked on the product, it's so lovely and compact and just pretty to look at... haha I sound crazy! But good packaging to me goes a long way! I admit it might be on the pricey side for some people, but that's because it's packed full with so many good things for your cats! I didn't know this before, but most cat foods are full of un-needed things like cereal wheats and grains, just to make the food fuller and heavier, and this is no good for your pets! It's supplying them with limited nutrients to keep them fit and healthy, and admittedly, probably why Oreo is a bit on the podge side. Canagans is full of good healthy things for your cat, E.G fresh fish and vegetables, giving them TONNES of nutrients, also it's good quality which supports a healthy digestive system and gut, helping things to keep moving in your feline friend! Oreo has not yet tried this, as we already have opened cat biscuits that we don't want to let go dry, but I'm so excited for him to eat this and hopefully it will help him shift some of his excess weight!

http://www.petshop.co.uk/Brand/Almo-Nature

Almo Nature Wet Cat Food (RRP 0.65p PER POUCH) - my cat LOVES this wet food! This is a Chicken & Whitebait classic wet cat food pouch, 55g to be precise and my cat is loving this brand! We usually use Felix, but my brother was also excited to try this out and as cat approvals go of food - he's eaten it all up every time! Almo Nature use 100% human grade ingredients, which means this food is actually good enough for human consumption! Not that I would highly reccommend doing that in place of a meal, but it just goes to show you that the stuff that they put in their pouches is sooo good, that even you could eat it! I would totally recommend that you try this stuff out on your cats, I mean mine loves it and it's really good quality stuff! They do a variety of flavours, and also do some pouches with jelly if you prefer giving your cats that food! It's free of additives, preservatives and chemicals, and like Canagan it's all fresh food and ingredients giving your cat the best nutrition it can!

http://www.petshop.co.uk/Brand/Dreamies

Dreamies Cat Treats (RRP £1 mark!) last, but certainly not least, DREAMIES! Does any cat not love Dreamies?! My cat LOVES Dreamies, and every cat loves a treat now and then! Oreo's favourit flavour is Chicken, and so was Bear's! We always have treat time in our house around the nighttime after they've had time to have their food settle and they love munching down on Dreamies! You can get so many different flavours and kinds, and right now at The Petshop website, they're actually on sale for a small 65p!! So I suggest if your cat also loves these, stock up on al the different flavours - what a great price!

The Petshop has so many brilliant brands of foods at so many good prices all over their website, and I suggest you go and check them al out if you're a pet lover and love a good bargain here and there! Also, may I just add their delivery was RIDICULOUSLY quick, so this is super good if you are running out of food and don't have a chance to nip to the shops!! I will 100% be going back here to purchase more, and I have so happy they have opened my eyes to the world of different pet foods for my pets, so that my pets can live a happier and healthier lifestyle!

Do you have any pets? What animals and breeds are they and what are their names? I would love to know in the comments!

Keep Smiling,

Relaxing with Lush

Hello, Lovelies!

So the holidays have come to and end, for me anyway, and that can be a very stressful thing! I went on a wonderful day out with my other half on Saturday,  to Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland and it was magical! We have been twice two years in a row now (and on the same date... how freaky!) and we love it, you truely do have to take time out next year to go and visit if you've not already and are in the area or a train journey away!

Any who, it was also my good friend's birthday, and she so happens to LOVE Lush, like many other people do (including me!!), so whilst I was picking her up a few birthday goodies, I thought I would treat myself to a festive bath bomb that I had been eyeing up and smelling everytime I popped into the store over the past few months.

*This particular bath bomb was the 'Yog Nog' festive Christmassy bath bomb! Oh my GOODNESS, I am so upset that this is only a seasonal bath bomb, because I'd buy it forever if I could! It smells so gorgeous, like a toffee-honey-yummy-ball of hugs! This is definetely one of Lush's sweeter bath bombs, however it's not as sweet as a Snow Fairy scent, so if you like something in the middle then I recommend this for you!

Yog Nog has so many good things in it for your skin, as your would expect from any good Lush product, and like it says on the tin, it is a luxury bathbomb! With things like Organic Shea & Cocoa butter in it to leave your skin feeling SO super soft, which it has! Ylang Ylang Oil, Soya Milk Powder, JoJoba Oil and the ever present Coconut Oil, which us girls will know is good for just about everything right now, it is sure to leave you feeling like a prince or princess by the time you get out of the bath. Nevermind the gorgeous detailing that whoever made this has put into it.

This bathbomb fizzed in the bath for so long, which is a winner for me from a bathbomb, as to me that means it has loads of goodies inside of it that are going to treat your skin to what it deserves. Now I was surprised when it got to the end of this bathbomb, as I wasn't expecting what I saw, however I was pleasently surprised! I won't ruin the surprise for you, I'll let you guys pop into Lush a purchase one to find out for yourselves.

If you're not a glittery bath-bomber, do not fear! Yog Nog actually wasn't that sparkly - I know - Lush not sparkly?! Usually, I'm say forever cleaning out my bath one I'm out quickly before my Dad sees the state it's in and sighs at me, but this bathbomb had only a tiny shimmer in it which was nice as it added something, but it wasn't too much.

I loved relaxing in this golden toffee bath, and I'm sure you will too. But be quick! As I've said before, this bathbomb is a seasonal one and I'm not too sure how long it's going to stick around for - so grab it whilst you can either Online or In Store!

What's your favourite bath bomb to relax to? What do you instantly put into your basket when you walk into Lush, and are you a sweet or spicy scent? I'd love to know, leave your answers in the comments!

Keep Smiling,
Paige x

Review: Yankee Candle Advent Calendar

Hello there everyone!

Today, I am going to be reviewing this lovely carousel of goodies from Yankee, in which my boyfriend ever so kindly gifted me at the start of December!

So in this you obviously get 24 candles, and it's a mix between Votives which you get 4 of and they're a bit bigger and can last up to 15 hours which is amazing! I didn't know this until i opened them, they weren't what they say on the packet! I got the votives on days 6, 12, 18 and 24 and I got a Berry Trifle which smells AMAZING! A Cosy By The Fire, Bundle up and on Christmas Eve I got a Winter Glow which was really weird as I was hoping I would get the Christmas Eve candle and I was so disappointed when I didn't, but nevermind!

The tealight candles are smalled and have a plastic casing round them so you don't need a candle holder as you can just light them on any surface, whereas the votives I suggest you get a medium sized holder because it needs something that the wax can melt into that you can just scrape off and dispose of when it has cooled. These for me lasted a few lightings over two days, or an entire evening! As it says on the box it's got roughly 4-6 hours of burn time, however I did have a few candles which went dud because the wick was probably a little shorter than others!

Overall, my favourites are the sweet scents like Snowflake Cookie, Candy Cane Lane, but besides that my top are Spiced Orange and Icicles, which Spiced Orange is a very Christmassy Spice scent (as you would guess!) and Icicles is a very clean scent, like a linen but does have a sweet undertone of something that I just couldn't put my finger on!

I would so reccommend these if you like Yankee Candles and can't afford a huge one, and also prefer having lots of different scents and don't like to stick to one! These scents are matchable and do fill a room, for example: I matched Bundle Up, Icicles and Winter Glow together to create a lovely fresh scent which lasted for hours! I ADORE Yankee Candles and all they have to offer, and they are still selling these on their website for a discounted price if you wanted to stock up or just open them all at once!

The one downfall of this Carousel of goodness, was that the packaging wasn't too great. The doors would rip off, and the Votives were really difficult to get out as they were just held in plastics, and I actually had to result in using a knife to get them out, which resulted in denting the candle! I wouldn't suggest doing this if you are young or unattended, so always ask for an adult's help first if you can't do it yourself. However! They do a house version of the Advent calendars, which I know there are no problems like this, so maybe that would be the option for you!

I would love to know what your favourite Yankee Candle scent is in the comments below, festive or un-festive! I love going round and sample sniffing all the scents my tiny shop in town has to offer, so let me know what you like so i can try it out next time, or maybe it's my favourite too and we can share interests! Also, did you get an advent calendar similar to mine, and what were your opinions on it?

Keep Smiling,
Paige x
